Day 16

Day 16 already? Really? Wow.

Meal #1 8:30am
tuna with 1/2 tbsp mayo
slice of bacon
red pepper and avocado



Comments:
I'm having a strange morning. I didn't get enough sleep last night and the sleep I did get was restless. My dreams were laced with nightmares and it was pouring when I finally woke up...45 minutes late.

That being said, everything is still pretty good. I wasn't entirely hungry, but I decided to eat to kickstart the day. I won't eat again today just because I think I should. I'll let my hunger dictate it.

Taste Test 10:45am


I wanted to bring these adorable mini pizzas over to the chicks at the daycare, but I felt the need to make sure they actually tasted above par first. I cut both of them into quarters and had one quarter of each. They were both so freaking good. I'm over my pizza desire though, so no more pizza for me.

Snack #1 12:30pm
smoothie with spinach



Comments:
I stopped eating spinach awhile back because I worried the high oxalate levels would cause kidney issues again. There are currently things I still eat that supposedly have high oxalate levels (nuts and blueberries), but going Primal helped eliminate some other stuff.

I decided to put spinach in my smoothie again today. I've been craving it. I forgot how much better it makes it. I'm going to start doing this again regularly and see what happens.

Meal #2 3:30pm
burger with some leftover pork ribs
avocado and pepper



Comments:
So I realize I keep eating the same food. I do have plans to make some actual dishes, but for the time being, I'm really content to just keep eating this stuff. Honestly, nothing beats these burgers.

I enjoy cooking food more than I enjoy eating cooked food. I like raw or steamed vegetables. I prefer the food on my plate separated. I can appreciate all the flavors better that way. That will probably always be the norm for me. That said, there are still lots of things I have my sights set on in the near future.

Snack #2 5:45
apple and celery with almond butter and craisins



Comments:
I took this picture with my water bottle because it dawned on me that I haven't really had any today—just two bottles and it's 6pm.

Regarding the snack, I surprisingly enjoyed the celery more than the apples.

Meal #3 12:45am

Comments:
I anticipated this meal tonight. I worked out. I needed to eat. I'm getting used to the predictability. Now I just need to work on my timing.

I didn't feel like nuts again tonight. I could probably have eaten more, but I want to go to bed.

EotD Comments:
I'm bloated again. These are super fun times. No really though, I'm not in a bad place about it mentally right now. I'm in "objective fascination mode" at the moment. It's all relative.

So let's strategize for a moment here. I haven't eaten tomatoes or watermelon. I did have an apple this afternoon, but it doesn't fit the timetable. I haven't had any Greek yogurt. So...that leaves the cheese on the pizza or the kefir. No more cheese. None. For now. I'll see how it goes from there. I'll give the kefir a couple more days to torture me and if nothing changes, I'll buy coconut milk kefir on Monday. Solid plan. I'm glad that's out of the way.

I rectified my water intake. I've had four bottles since 6pm and I'll probably down another one before I go to sleep.

eta:
Some days I'm not so quick on the uptake. I said I haven't had tomatoes, but I neglected to account for the sauce on the pizza. Alright, so no tomatoes for real this time.
